In an Australian first pilot, we're bringing together the tourism and hospitality sectors in Port Douglas to increase the use of reusable cups, bags and water bottles by both tourists and locals.

CONNECTING THE CAFE, HOTEL & TOURISM SECTORS TO INCREASE REUSE IN PORT DOUGLAS

While many people choose to use reusable cups, uptake of reusables in our communities remains relatively low. Implementing reuse systems based on behaviour change principles can make this more common practice. The Choose to Reuse Port Douglas project is designed to do this.

WORKING WITH HOTELS, CAFES & TOURISM DESTINATIONS

To implement a reusable cup system that can be interchanged between hotels and cafes.

To encourage BYO reusable cups, bags and water bottles.

To offer guests to borrow or buy water bottles and bags from hotels.

To increase our Water Bottle Refill Map to make a convenient network for users to refill their water bottles.
